Engineering sustainable cooling
from Switzerland
Cooltech Industries is a Swiss deep-tech company focused on one mission: replacing harmful, energy-intensive refrigeration with a cleaner, physics-based alternative. We develop, industrialize and commercialize Magnetocaloric Cooling Systems for real-world industrial use.
Built on research,
driven by industry
Founded by Frédéric Haase in Saint-Aubin, Canton Fribourg, our company emerged from the conviction that the refrigeration industry needed a fundamental rethink — not an incremental improvement. Conventional cooling relies on pressurized gases, complex compressors, and refrigerants that face increasing regulatory restrictions. We set out to change that.
Rooted in Viridhys Technologies SA, our parent company, Cooltech Industries focuses exclusively on the MCS technology: developing, validating, and scaling magnetocaloric systems for commercial and industrial deployment. Over CHF 2 million has been invested in research and development to bring this technology from laboratory prototype to market-ready product.
We are supported by regional innovation bodies including Fri Up and the Seed Capital Fribourg Foundation, and we maintain a growing network of contacts and pilot partners across Europe and North America.

How we work
Physics-first engineering
Every system we build is grounded in fundamental physics. We don't patch existing technology — we replace it with something better at the core.
Modular by design
All systems are containerized and plug-and-play ready. This enables fast installation, flexible scaling, and straightforward international deployment.
Sustainability without compromise
Zero GWP, no F-Gas exposure, and 40% lower energy consumption. Our systems are built to meet today's needs and tomorrow's regulations.
Let's build the future
of cooling together
Whether you're an integrator, OEM partner, or industrial operator — we'd like to hear about your project.
